About:

Susie Miller is a visual Artist based in Dublin, Ireland, and is a recent graduate of  Fine Art Media at The National College of Art and Design and is currently a part of this years Clancy Quays professional development programme.

She is a multimedia artist working in a Fluxus manner. Her work often manifests through forms of image making, moving image and installation processes. Interested in existentialism, her visual art practice interrogates the forms of alienation and dissonance within both traditional and contemporary Irish culture. Influenced by absurdism, she draws from personal perspective as well as past and present forms of meaning-making, often sourcing from unexpected places. Her work examines the everyday through a mystical and sometimes suspicious lens. She explores the tension between functionality and intentionality, navigating through what is considered ‘natural’ and ‘artificial’   within a hyper-structured culture and environment, utilising functional materials and, in turn, focusing on the compartmentalisation of information and meaning.
